WINEMAKING NOTES
The grapes for our California Chardonnay were harvested at optimum ripeness. After gentle pressing, fermentation occurred slowly at cool temperatures to preserve the bright fruit aromas.
Malolactic fermentation was completed to bring out the rich mouthfeel. It was aged for 2 months on carefully selected oak to complement ripe fruit aromas with spice and toasty notes.

VITICULTURE NOTES
We sourced our Chardonnay grapes from the cool-climate vineyards of California’s Central Coast. The 2018 vintage began with a cold winter which delayed bud break and led into a cool spring, giving extended time for the fruit to set. A warm summer that stretched into a mild fall provided favorable growing conditions that allowed for the grapes to retain good acidity and develop intense fruit flavors.
